For the first time, DCoT received a donation to Release the Code from a project that does not even exist yet! Kenneth G. S. has donated to the MedInfo Keeper project which is still in the development phase. I guess that tells me exactly where I need to focus my attention!

I have also received a couple of donations from Daniel W. of Run PC Run fame. Thanks for helping out, Dan!

Thanks, again, for your ongoing support. While small donations of just a few dollars may not seem like much to you, when enough of you get together and pool your money, it can have a big effect on DCoT. All financial support, regardless of how much or whether it is to Release the Code or help the Tip Jar, is all greatly appreciated.

This has been a big week on Daily Cup of Tech! Thanks to your generous donations, we have released the very first bunch of source code (albeit under some controversy), DCoT Menu! A big thanks to those who donated their hard earned money to provide the source code for everyone!

I would also like to highlight all of those who have donated this past week:

Thank you, everyone for the help and support. Without your generosity, Daily Cup of Tech would not be able to continue.

So, with DCoT Menu now officially open source, that only leaves the External IP application in the freeware phase of the donation source cycle. But, have no fear! I hope to release another application into the freeware phase later this week. I have not put it on the Release the Code page as of yet, even though it is technically in the R&D phase, because I want it to be a surprise. Keep your eyes peeled for this one.

As always, I am honored by your continuing support. These donations show that me that you, the reader, is as committed to Daily Cup of Tech as I am. All financial support, regardless of how much or whether it is to Release the Code or help the Tip Jar, is all greatly appreciated.

Thanks to Barry H. for supporting the Release the Code Project this week. These fund help to keep DCoT up and running.

Barry H. has moved the DCoT Menu project within $30 of it’s release goal. I think that we will see this code made available any day now. If you would like to help donate toward this or other applications’ release, please feel free to donate on the Release the Code page.

Thanks for all of the financial support that Daily Cup of Tech has been receiving lately. A big tip of the hat goes out to Martin B., Kay A. S., Brian C., and AlwaysWebHosting.com for the generous donation both in the Tip Jar and the Release the Code Project. These fund help to keep DCoT up and running.

We are also starting to see some movement in the DCoT Menu project on Release the Code. DCoT Menu is already at 60% of it’s donation goal. I would not be surprised if this code was released later this week. If you would like to help donate toward this or other applications’ release, please feel free to donate on the Release the Code page.

Note: Did you notice the link to AlwaysWebHosting.com?  Looks like someone discovered an inexpensive way to get some advertising!  If you would like me to link to your website when I mention your name here, feel free to send me an e-mail after you donate and I will gladly put a link to your site.

Just a quick post to update everyone on the latest donations. A special thanks goes out to Eric John W., Ed M., and Todd E. for the generous donation both in the Tip Jar and toward releasing the code. It is through generous donations like yours that Daily Cup of Tech can continue.

Speaking of releasing the code, both DCoT Menu and External IP are closer to going completely open source. DCoT Menu is already 25% of the way there and External IP has received a nice $5 start. If you would like to help donate toward these applications’ release, please feel free to donate on the Release the Code page.

If you would like to donate to Daily Cup of Tech to help out or just to say, “Thanks!”, as always the Tip Jar is available.
