Hide Your Windows Computer From Other Windows Computers

Sometimes, you have a good and legitimate reason to hide your Windows computer from the Windows network that it is on. There is a quick and easy way of doing this.
All you do is go to a command prompt and type in the following:
net config server /hidden:yes
This will hide your system from being discovered and displayed in Network Neighborhood.
Unfortunately, any IT administrator worth his salt will have at least one Linux box on the network which will still see this system. And, it will still show up in the DHCP logs as well.
If you found this post useful, why don't you buy me a cup of coffee to show your gratitude?
