Awesome Find #12: QR-Code Generator
I love barcodes! Thye are quick, easy, efficient technology. But, yet again, the fact that I am living in North America puts me at a disadvantage.
Apparently, Japanese cell phones have the ability to read 3D or QR-code barcodes. They can simply scan these barcodes and they wull load the information into their cell phones. It can be a URL, text, phone number or SMS message.
Just so you are ready when we catch up in the US or you feel like ordering a 3D barcode reader, here is a quick and easy way to create your own 3D barcodes.
BTW, this is the Daily Cup of Tech official barcode!

March 26th, 2009 at 12:09 pmI live in the UK and have a Nokia N95 8gig, which has an app to read these barcodes. Surely this app can be downloaded somewhere onto most phones with a decent camera?

check out this QR-Code Generator. It also generates Data Matrix at the same time.
(Full disclosure: It’s my own project.)
