Send A Message To An IP Address
Are you sick of that spammer who comes from 24.97.125.8? Do you think that 83.227.193.32 is cute but don’t know how to get a message to them? Well, here’s your chance!
IpMessage.net is a service that allows you to leave a message for a visitor from a specific IP address. All you need to do is enter an IP address and then write your message. When someone from the IP address that you entered comes to the website, they will see the message that you left.
To be honest, this is a pretty useless “service” but it is fun to play around with!

1. To be honest, this is a pretty useless “service” but it is fun to play around with!
2. If you found this post useful, why don’t you buy me a cup of coffee to show your gratitude?
I guess if we can just figure out a way to get spammers to visit the website of our choosing, we can then teach them a lesson!

August 23rd, 2008 at 5:13 amActually it is not as useless as it sounds. Recently I was doing some loong distance IT Support for family. My mother-in-law couldn’t get her email client up and running. She is also on dial-up and lives in an area where there is no mobile phone reception.
The usual scenario is for her to
1. get on the net,
2. go to http://whatsmyip.org/ and
3. email me her IP address so I could
4. remote to her PC and fix whatever the problem is.Having a trashed email client stops her from telling me her IP address. But if we had used IPMessage.net I could have told her my IP, which she could then use to tell me her IP. I will definitely be tagging IPmessage.net.
Cheers,

August 25th, 2008 at 10:36 pmI think it’s a USELESS service because the message is NOT sent directly to the computer using the IP address and your message may NOT be delivered to the intended recipient. Most internet users don’t care about the IP address (tech do), and IP addresses can be leased for short period of time (DHCP) and can be spoofed.
