Firefox 3 World Record
Firefox is trying to break a world record for the number of software downloads in 24 hours! They have officially released version 3 today and they want everyone to know about it.
Personally, I have loved Firefox for a long time now and it would take quite a bit for me to go to another browser.

June 18th, 2008 at 7:45 pmYes, Firefox 3 is the fastest browser around and I swore never to touch IE again… but too bad it still crashes on my once too often… so much that I use IE more often then not now.

June 19th, 2008 at 12:37 pmFirefox isn’t going to break a world record on this - they are going to set the first record in software downloaded in a day. It will be the first record in this category.
Aside from that… glad Fx3 is starting this
It’s worked great for me since the first RC! -

June 20th, 2008 at 4:46 pmI tried ff3 and it loads much faster. I tried it out monday and i think it will be better than anything in second place let alone ie or any of its derivatives or of the big O, its getting to kludged up. ff3 has a nice clean look, just like the old one and works great with the few addons that are available. Needs more of them converted to really be usefull for my taste. I use hi speed cable so i didn’t notice anything great baout the speed. By the way, I did buy you a cup of coffee but you never showed up so I drank it before it got cold.

June 25th, 2008 at 7:24 amI tried FF3 as a beta and then a release candidate. I haven’t bothered downloading the gold release yet.
I did download Opera 9.5 though and it seems to be even faster than it used to be with no less functionality. It did highlight a coding issue on my blog where I had commented a div. Opera displayed the div while FF did not. It happened because of nested commenting within the sidebar.
I might try FF3 one day, need a reliable machine first though…
