August 28th, 2007 at 3:19 pmNice! Now if I just knew a place near me that had one. I have a lot of old hard drives that need that treatment that have dead controllers, preventing a “boot and nuke” disk from being effective.

August 29th, 2007 at 9:23 amAn update to my comment above. I found a vendor in the Twin Cities area who’s web site says that they offer hard drive shredding. I have not contacted them yet about pricing or whether they service residential/personal customers. The company is Shred-Rite (http://www.rohnind.com/shredrightnow.htm). I am not affiliated with the company in any way.
