It seems that I have struck a few nerves with the integration of the tumblog posts. Some like it. Some hate it. Many just don’t care. So, I’m going to leave it up to you, the reader. Since I am doing the blog for you, I want to make sure that you are getting what you want out of the blog.
You will find an opinion poll on the sidebar. This is going to determine what I do with the tumblog. Now is the time to share your opinion.
I’ll make a decision on this sometime later this week.
In the meantime, give the tumblog posts a fair chance. Look at some of them and see if there is something interesting and useful.
As you may have noticed, I have decided to integrate my tumblog into the regular mix within Daily Cup of Tech. Why did I decide to do this? There are a few good reasons:
Good information. There is a lot of good information that shows up in the tumblog. Just because I don’t spend two hours writing about it in detail does not mean that it is not valuable. In fact, I often will revisit some of this information later and do some research.
Low readership. I noticed that I had very few people reading the tumblog compared to DCoT. This is probably because I did not provide people with the opportunity to interact with the information. This has now changed.
Quick posts. Many of the posts that I have on DCoT are rather long and wordy while the posts on the tumblog are short and sweet. I think these posts will provide a nice balance for readers.
Need a free stock photo? Free … meaning you don’t have to pay anyone cold, hard cash for its use? Look no further. I’ve compiled my top 10 list of favorite stock photo sites that don’t cost you anything.
