Daily Cup of Tech Tumblog
One of the problems that I have is that I come up with potentially good ideas and them promptly forget them. Or I will find an amazing website and then completely forget where it was when I try to get back to it again.
So, in the tradition of great sites like Tumblr and Projectionist, I have created the Daily Cup of Tech Tumblog. (Yes, I know, most people spell it tumblelog but I like tumblog better!)
For those of you who are new to the concept, this is how Wikipedia describes a tumblog:
A tumblelog is a variation of a blog, that favors short-form, mixed-media posts over the longer editorial posts frequently associated with blogging. Common post formats found on tumblelogs include links, photos, quotes, dialogues, and video. Unlike blogs, this format is frequently used to share the author’s creations, discoveries, or experiences without providing a commentary.
Basically, what you are going to be getting in the tumblog is anything that I find on the Internet or ideas that I have which I find interesting. You may start to notice a pattern in the future that a lot of the information in the tumblog will be the initial research or idea for posts and article on DCoT. This is as close as I can get to giving you direct access to what’s going on inside my head (that is, without a saw!). Just be aware that this is raw information that may or may not make any sense to you at the time.
On the sidebar, you should see a Tumblog section. This is where all of the new entries in the tumblog will appear as I post them. Or, if you are so inclined, you can subscribe to the Tumblog RSS feed.
If you found this post useful, why don't you buy me a cup of coffee to show your gratitude?

March 30th, 2007 at 10:26 pmThat is a brilliant idea! I have over 100 draft articles and even more short scraps of information to use in future blog articles but they’re all only accessible to me through the Wordpress “Your Drafts” section
Thanks to your idea, in the next few weeks I’ll setup a new sub-folder on my domain, something like /raw-ideas/ and migrate all my drafts there so the info becomes public
