Popular ScienceI actually found a copy on the stands so I figure it is OK to let the cat out of the bag. Back about two months ago, I received an e-mail from a gentleman by the name of Doug Cantor. He started out by congratulating me on Daily Cup of Tech and he also mentioned that he particularly liked the Have Your Lost USB Drive Ask For Help article that I wrote.

He then went on to explain that he was a writer for Popular Science magazine and would like to get my permission to make it the Hardware Trick of the Month. I wasn’t really sure what to say at first but I told him that I would be more than happy to let him do just that.

So, today I actually got my hands on a copy of the April 2007 edition of Popular Science and sure enough, there it was! Nestled snuggly on page 89 between a remote-control broom and This Is Broken. Retrieve Your Lost Thumb Drive includes a nice screen shot of my lost USB drive program in action and even two links (not that you can click on them) to dailycupoftech.com!

So, welcome to all you Popular Science readers. I hope you find Have Your Lost USB Drive Ask For Help to be as useful as Doug did! And for those of you who are regular DCoT readers, may I suggest a very fine magazine?

By the way, here are a few other articles that you may also find interesting about USB drives!
