I Hate To Say I Told You So But…
I know nobody who reads DCoT did this if a “friend” downloaded the cracked copy of Microsoft Vista against my advice, you could be headed for a heap of trouble in the form of a trojan!
One of the problems with the cracked copy of Vista is that the product is not activated. So people with this version have been searching high and low on the internet for a way around this issue. When they run across Windows Vista All Versions Activation 21.11.06, it may seem like their lucky day. But, in fact, it may just be a heap of trouble!
According to The Register and APC Magazine, activation program is actually the Trojan-PSW.Win32.LdPinch.aze trojan. Be aware that there are some antivirus software packages out there that do not detect this trojan!
A quick search on a popular bittorrent site found that the fake activation program was readily available as shown in this screenshot:

I would just like to make a quick little suggestion. Please make sure that you are using legal copies of software on your systems. I understand the temptation to get “something for nothing” but in the end, it can be more trouble than it is worth.
If you found this post useful, why don't you buy me a cup of coffee to show your gratitude?

Absolutely the best idea yet when it comes to getting something for nothing! You can’t steal something that is being given away for free! Check out http://osalt.com/ for open source alternatives to commercial applications! Thanks, Jeff!

December 7th, 2006 at 10:04 pmAlmost every *free* offering for cracked or otherwise seemingly “too-good-to-be-true” software includes a nice exe (or two) that will infect your computer with various trojans and hose it pretty quickly! If you were an unsuspecting and unprotected user, you would be in a world of hurt, all the while wondering why your new crack didn’t work!
Good information Tim!
