FreeNAS Week: Installation HowTo
Day two of FreeNAS week brings us to the installation of FreeNAS. It can be a bit disturbing to some people that you can do a complete installation and network connection in under five minutes, especially if they are accustomed to some of the larger operating system installations.
HowTo Install FreeNAS provides step by step instructions for a basic FreeNAS installation including screenshots and even FreeNAS Installation: The Movie! The hardest part for some people to get past is the fact that there is no fancy interface for installing the system. But, once you realize that you only need to execute about a dozen keystrokes for the entire installation (I’m serious!), it is pretty easy to deal with!
