CNET News has an interesting article entitled Could Hollywood hack your PC? It talks about how congress is thinking about passing a bill that will allow legal holders of a copyright product to disable any compute that they believe are being used to illegally share their product.

The bill does not state what type of methods that they could use to disable your computer, but I am certain that viruses, rootkits, and denial of service attacks are all on the menu!

This may be a strange take on this but I was thinking about the poor souls who work for and develop the disabling software for the copyright holders. These people will be completely shunned by the computing community. They would be less popular than a kissing booth at a leper colony! Definitely in line for the world’s dirtiest job!
