It appears that Microsoft is having a bit of difficulty telling the good guys from the bad guys. According to CNET News. Windows Live OneCare spend a chunk of the weekend telling everyone that the Gmail website was actually a BAT/BWG.A virus.

There is an interesting forum thread on the Windows Live OneCare forum that chronicles the problems that some people were having.

It appears the Microsoft is pointing (giving?) the finger at Google, stating that they made changes to their website and this is what caused the virus warning to show up.
