The Killer App…er…App Killer
Everyone is talking about what is the next killer app. I say forget it. I’ve just written the next app killer!
Even if you have the next killer app, I can show you how to stop it (or viruses or any other program) from running on your system with my article entitled Stop Applications From Running.
It provides you with the code and precompiled executable for monitoring the programs that are running on your computer and preventing any application you specify from running. But remember, use your power for good, not evil.
If you found this post useful, why don't you buy me a cup of coffee to show your gratitude?

September 18th, 2006 at 3:13 pmI was just thinking about a great use for this today…say your child has some games installed and you want to limit their use of the game for a certain time. It would be a great way to limit usage without having to fight with them when the time is up…just an idea I had floating around as I watched my friend’s son play hour after hour of roller-coaster tycoon while we were socializing.
Great blog by the way

September 18th, 2006 at 3:36 pmIt wouldn’t be hard to modify the script to check for a process, start a timer when it is found, and then kill the app once a predetermined amount of time has expired. Maybe I have some scripting to do.
BTW, back at you, Rob re: great blog. Anyone reading this should check it out (See the previous comment).
